I was three when I started to draw and do artistic stuff with my hands. At first I did a lot of pen and ink and crayon drawings. I created a cartoon character too. I also did some three-dimensional felt animals that I sewed up and stuffed with newspaper. I also got to help carve a totem pole one time. I realized I enjoyed sculpting and creating three-dimensional artwork a lot more than just drawing on paper or painting on my bedroom walls.
When I was five I picked up some modeling clay and did my first sculptures. I wanted to make action figures but I didn't want to do the usual stuff like the superheroes or storybook characters. I tried lots of different styles. I still have most of my models from when I first started. Over the years I tried creating many different kinds of guys (figurines) until I finally found my niche: non-action figures for older teenagers. These would be the first, real collectibles that older teens could buy. I am still saving the first guys that I made when I was only ten because some of them will be my inspiration when I do different lines of figurines after I sell off the current batch of RefleXions(tm) characters.
This will enable me to create new characters, some of which will be based on your user input - so please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your suggestions!
I hope you like my guys, each one was meticulously hand crafted ; then produced commercially in small batches.
